A Mardi Gras Soiree

I had the opportunity to work with A World for Children, an amazing non-profit organization.  They asked me to design a press kit, save the dates, invitations, and the event program booklet for their annual fundraising gala.  This year was mardi gras themed, which was so much fun!

I created a logo for the event and then created design elements that we used in each item – it all came together beautifully!  Classy and festive.

Event Styling… is that what it’s called?

I don’t really like how “Party Planning” sounds… so I’ll go with Event Styling

I had the privilege to design for an adorable Daddy Daughter Dance!  It was SO. MUCH. FUN.

I created the photo booth backdrop, all paper flowers for the photo booth and dessert table… as well as invitations, table menus, etc.  It was a beautifiul evening full of beautiful little girls and their super sweet daddies!

Finishing up 3 t-shirt designs…. and anticipating two new and very fun projects!

I’m in the process of completing three tshirt designs: 1 for a youth event at Field Street Baptist Church and 2 for His Cherished Ones, an amazing ministry in Nakuru, Kenya.

And this week, I begin working on two very exciting new projects!

First, I’ll be working with Far From Since When, a really talented band who needs a website, CD packaging, and merch – love these talented musicians!

And second, a new bar is opening up in my hometown of Abilene, Texas – Bar 14 – and they have asked me to help with their company branding: to create their logo, marketing materials and building sign.

Can’t wait to get to work with these super cool people and show you all what we come up with!

website update… time for a blog?

For years I’ve been the graphic designer / web designer who is like the hair stylist with an awful cut and brassy, over-grown highlights… she really can do amazing work but you wouldn’t know it by looking at HER!!!  That’s been my site… yes, clients, please look at my most recent work but please, oh please, don’t just judge me by the state of my own site!

As luck would have it, I experimented with my site the other day and (due to some bad clicks here and there) was forced to recreate it – and I am thrilled about it!  Not that I had time to add my own site into my workflow, but obviously I need a kick in the pants to update my own stuff!  So, here it is… just about ready to be seen and a million times improved!

Because of this, I’m now starting a blog… I create blogs for others and help to keep them running smoothly and updated but haven’t ever feel the need to had the desire to have one for my own work.  But, I may just give it a shot… for now.  No promises that I’ll keep it up
